7th Grade Art Projects
1). Exquisite Corpse Drawing game
2). Geography - State Stamps

4). Printmaking-Expressionism


Exquisite Corpse Drawing Game:

Students created drawing based on the Surrealist artists game 'Exquisite Corpse'.  Each student had to draw on a segment of the paper, which was then passed on to another artist.  Each artist is unaware of what the previous artist has drawn and the topic/theme is changed.  Therefore creating a creature that is made of parts.
Geography Stamp Design:  
Students are to create a state stamp based on what they have learned in Geography about the United States.  They are to choose a state and research the states color, flag, and state related symbols to create a new stamp design.
Idiom Drawing
​
Figurative meaning is when a combination of words mean something different than the individual words do. ... It's literal. But idioms don't work that way; they are figurative.  Students created an image using the words figuratively. 


Printmaking-
​
Students studied the Expressionist Art style and how the artist exaggerated line and simplified their image to make an expressive image that was not too realistic.  They had to create an ink print from their design.
